Harriet is a Creative Consultant curating experiences that support people in reconnecting with themselves and their inner child through play, presence and self expression. She and Amy met at a vision boarding workshop she facilitated a few years ago, where the seed for this collaboration was first planted.
Amy, who works in product for Lululemon, brings a deep love of yoga, cooking, and growing interest in Ayurvedic nutrition, as well as a talent for curating and hosting beautifully considered gatherings for her friends and family.
Together we have developed a series of pocket urban retreats. We call it a “pocket retreat” because it’s a small, sweet pause that fits into a single day, without needing to leave the city or take vacation days!
Each day is designed around our three pillars: Move, Nourish, Create.
MOVE
After a welcome drink and introductions, we start our day with gentle, grounding movement and breathwork to help you arrive, settle and connect to your body. No pressure, no performance – just a quiet return to self.
NOURISH
A seasonal family-style lunch will anchor the middle of the day, with every effort taken to source hyper-local ingredients and designed to care for you from the inside out. As delicious as it is nourishing.
CREATE
The afternoon will open space for creativity and play. You will be guided through a hands-on creative workshop by a local artist. Again, no pressure, no performance – we’re here to learn something new and have fun whilst doing it.
A sweet treat and tea will bring our day together to a close.
Each edition will be a little different – the movement, menu, and creative elements will shift – but our aim remains the same: to provide a gentle, joyful space to pause from your everyday, reconnect, and get inspired.
We started Something Good because we need it too.
As two people juggling full lives and full calendars, we often find ourselves craving a moment to pause – something restorative, and joyful. But so often, the spaces that offer that come with a high price tag, a weekend away, or the feeling that you need to “escape” your everyday to earn rest.
We wanted to create a different kind of pause. One that’s gentle, joyful, and within reach – no flights, hotel rooms, or big commitments needed.
Our hope is to make these retreats truly accessible:
Physically – you don’t need to travel far
Financially – we keep pricing transparent and fair
Emotionally – you’re welcome just as you are
Whether you come alone or bring a friend, we’ve made this space for you – through our pillars, you can treat your body, your mind and your spirit to Something Good.
Why Something Good?
At our pilot event, we asked our guests how the day made them feel, what they visualised, how they would describe it. They told us that the day had been something joyful, calming, restorative, necessary, healing, and fun. Through their feedback, it became clear that we had created Something Good.
Something Good wouldn’t be possible without our partners coming together to collaborate with us and support our events.
We’re always looking for aligned partners to host our movement sessions and workshops, and help us bring our vision to life. Reach out here if you, or someone you know, would love to collaborate with us.
